MOG Technologies announces the support of automated export of Avid sequences to MXF files with its new mxfSPEEDRAIL O1000 model
MOG Technologies, the leading provider and award winning of MXF Ingest solutions, announced today the release of a new product – mxfSPEEDRAIL O1000 – a File-Based Outgest system that enables the automated stitching, export and publishing of Avid® sequences to MXF files and to the web.
Completing a wide range of centralized ingest models, MOG Technologies has developed a flexible, efficient and cost-effective solution for automating the export of Avid sequences as MXF OP1a files and MP4 web clips, with integrated monitoring and configuration. The generated files are compatible with most video servers, making it a breeze to transfer the finished Avid sequence directly to playout servers, optionally generating versions for the web. Plus, the O1000 works in the background, freeing the editor for its real purpose: editing.
Its extensive range of input and output formats (IMX 30, IMX 40, IMX 50; DVCPRO, DVCPRO 50, DVCPRO HD; DNxHD; AVC-I) , as well as its support for stand-alone (as an editor export plug-in) or networked systems makes the O1000 suitable for most environments. Namely, media files can reside in an Avid UnityTM ISIS® or Avid MediaNetwork or any other shared media storage, and the output files can be written to anywhere on the network. Monitoring, configuration and operation are all straightforward using its intuitive web-based GUI, accessible from anywhere in the network. A SOAP interface is also available, easing the integration with other systems, in a true SOA environment.
“We are happy to announce the release of mxfSPEEDRAIL O1000 as an Outgest solution able to solve the several export issues and formats incompatibilities that broadcasters normally have to deal with” says Vitor Teixeira, MOG Marketing and Sales Director. “We had presented a demo version of mxfSPEEDRAIL O1000 at IBC 2010, and it’s extremely rewarding to officially announce that the product is totally ready to be commercialized to the broadcast market.”
mxfSPEEDRAIL O1000 is a workflow automation enabler fully compliant with Avid systems, designed to be simple and efficient to use, with fully unattended operation and straightforward configuration, allowing the simultaneous outgest of several Avid sequences.
This new model provides full compatibility and interoperability between Avid sequences and playout servers, archives, web distribution portals and other devices, excluding the need to use an editing suite for export operations and with the major advantage of having no quality loss.
